God's Goodness / Four Saved

Wow, how I wish I would have begun this blog in January when David and I started deputation. The Lord Jesus has done so much. He has proven His faithfulness time and again and provided for every need and many wants! He is so good!

Answered Prayers!
Just this past Wednesday David and I drove to Panama City, Fl for a meeting. The day before, David found out that our meetings for Sunday were cancelled. He called for a long time trying to get more meetings. The last thing we wanted to do was to drive all this way for 1 meeting. The calls were to no effect. We prayed and others prayed for us. Thursday morning the pastor of the Church we are at met with David and volunteered to call pastors with him. We now have three meetings tomorrow and a couple for next February! Praise the Lord!

THE BEST PART!
This morning David and I went on visitation with the Church we are staying at. David went with another man and I went with a younger lady in the Church. Well, after climbing 3 flights of stairs in 95 degree weather, we knocked on several doors. the first man to answer was not happy to see us there and told us so. We finished the level, went down to the second floor and were happily talking to a man who was anxious to listen when we were hastily interrupted by a woman who was screaming at the top of her lungs at us. Wow, I really wished my husband was there. He is very good at handling situations and dealing with people. I just stared at her wide-eyed and praying that God would give me words to calm her. Not too long after that, we were asked to leave the area. But, not before my husband led a boy to the Lord and the pastor of the church had led two people to the Lord!! Praise the Lord for that, but I was discouraged and felt that I was the reason we all had to leave.

The Lord had other plans!
After being asked to leave, before we found the pastor, an elder at the Church took David, the girl I was with, and me to some housing projects. Right at the place we were dropped off, there were three men sitting outside talking. David started talking to them and asked them if they knew they would go to heaven when they died. One said yes-he had trusted in the Lord. One said no with his head down. The other was very loud and obnoxious and stated that we would all go to heaven. He did not believe in Christ as God. David started talking to him, and I immediately started talking to the man in the middle. I did not want him to listen to the other man and could tell that he was under conviction. I explained the gospel to him a couple of times. I wanted to know that he understood it. He then bowed his head and asked the Lord to save his soul!! Right afterwards he announced that he wanted to learn more. The pastor came up at that time and was able to talk to him more and give him assurance. Prayerfully, he and the other man that was already saved will come to church in the morning. The church is sending a van to pick them up along with a young boy the girl that was with us got to talk with. Praise the Lord!
